The meaning of history is that we can have stories to tell to our kids, and also that God has a plan for everything. There are two worlds, the seen world and the unseen world. The seen wolrd is the stuff we can see feel and hear. The unseen world consists of angels and demons. demons exist and so do angels. God has a purpose for everything. God has a big huge plan, and it's more complicated than we can imagine.
Hmmm.... certainly history has more importance than illustrating God can operate on a fiat or impulse. Remembering that all of Creation exists for a purpose, what else could be said about the purpose or meaning of history?
