As humans, we have rights. But with those rights come responsibilities. For instance, take the Ten Commandments. The fifth one, "Honor your father and mother" states that parents have the right to be respected and that kids have the responsibility to respect their parents. The fourth one, "Keep the Sabbath Day holy" means that we have a right to rest, but that also means that we have a responsibility to work. Our rights and responsibilities are mapped out thoughout the Bible. Even in Genesis, the Bible tells us to have dominion over the creatures and take care of the earth. In the first chapter of Genesis it is clear that we have the right to live and to be married as man and wife. The amount of rights we have are outnumbered by the responsibilities.
